It's come to debate that the use of online training courses for the HAZWOPER certification can prove to be detrimental to the training that is actually received since there is no hands-on PPE training included with online courses. However, in the vast majority of traditional classes and seminars, the exact model of PPE training might not even be offered to employees. The OSHA standard states that PPE training needs to be done in the exact model that it would be in the workplace.
