Workplace Safety Taken to Extreme

Union employees often call for more workplace safety, and the politicians in their hip-pocket often oblige with exactly that; more onerous regulations for employers and higher fines when those worker safety laws are missed or violated. Still, on top of all this over regulation on the working place, we find workmen's compensation rates have doubled and tripled and are going up again, even though work-related accidents are down for the most part, at least in a good many industries.
