Aerospace manufacturing is one of the most technically challenging fields in the world, and is right up there with consumer electronics manufacturing in terms of the number of materials and compounds used to complete a job. It's estimated that more than 20,000 different materials are used in aerospace manufacturing, many of them chemical solvents and other potentially hazardous materials.
